Sherrie Orr has been creating amazing experiences for visitors to Kauai since 1986.

Landing in Hawaii in 1977, Sherrie began her career in the visitor industry by opening Waikiki’s only natural juice and shave ice bar on famous Kalakaua Avenue. Visitors loved the fruit juices made with fresh pineapple, mangos, bananas and as well as sweet and delicious shave ice cones and frozen chocolate covered bananas.

Succeeding in her first venture, Sherrie then expanded her food service operations by opening Honolulu’s only premier California-style cuisine vegetarian restaurant. With a twelve page menu containing options for a wide range of dietary restrictions, Sherrie quickly became famous for specialties like the Brocolli-Walnut Cassoulet and the lemon dream pie.

In 1987, Sherrie was presented with the opportunity of a lifetime: to live and work in the amazing Kokee State Park on the island of Kauai. Sherrie became the Resident Manager of Kokee Lodge, a twelve-cabin facility with a restaurant and retail store located 4,500 feet above sea level on the rim of Waimea Canyon. Hundreds of thousands of guests visited the lodge each year – and with its rustic, remote cabins, full-service restaurant and specialty gift-store, it became an unforgettable destination under Sherrie’s direction.

Sherrie spent the next twenty years exploring the rich natural environment of Kauai and helping visitors create unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experiences. She developed unparalleled expertise about the island of Kauai – exploring everything from the remote hiking trails in the mountains to the unique boutiques and mouth-watering restaurants on Kauai’s east side.

Sherrie now makes her expertise available by providing personal concierge services to visitors to Kauai. With her extensive food and beverage knowledge as well as her vast experience in creating memorable experiences, she is the ultimate visitor’s resource. When Sherrie is not making tropical vacation dreams come true she enjoys traveling to San Francisco to visit her daughter, spending time with her animals, golfing and enjoying live music.
